It is possible to provide equal strength, varying depth of a used paper and size of a cell. The door made from large cell honeycomb with skins from MDF has integral density of 140 kg / m3 and maintains at compression load about 2000 kg. Heat conduction of honeycomb core (paper has 120 microns thickness and honeycomb cell is 8 mm) is 0.09 J / (m2 K) and is determined by convective carry of heat. With increase of the honeycomb cell size the heat convection should be augmented.
